A beautiful Lapis Lazuli sphere from Afghanistan.
Lapis contains a few different minerals ;
~ Lazurite - the beautiful deep blue that we associate with lapis.
~ Calcite - the white flecks and streaks, these are also the parts that can be UV reactive, meaning they will glow under UV light.
~ Pyrite - the stunning gold flecks you can see.
It can sometimes contain other minerals too.
Lapis is considered to be a protective stone from psychic attacks, bringing deep peace & harmony.
It reveals inner truth, honesty, compassion, self - awareness, and self - expression.
Because of its healing powers, Lapis lazuli is celebrated as being The Wisdom Stone.
